This Steese Highway operation keeps the model refreshingly simple: one admission buys a lesson, a poke of paydirt guaranteed to hold gold, and unlimited time at the troughs, where you can keep working piles hauled in from a local operating mine at no extra cost. Everything you wash out is yours. The operator notes that pyrite, quartz crystals and garnets turn up in the dirt too, and that visitors have walked away with woolly mammoth ivory.
