Board Camp Crystal Mine
This is a fresh-earth dig rather than a tailings pick - the owners open new ground and then put you in it with hand tools and instruction. You must reserve ahead; slots start at 9 or 11 a.m. and you can stay until three. The mine closes all winter, in the owners' phrase, to let the earth rest, so plan between roughly late February and Halloween. Booking line is (479) 243-0771.
